AS Latvijas Biznesa banka purchased BIS FORPOST
In October 2011 the Forbis Company and AS Latvijas Biznesa banka have concluded an agreement on purchase of the FORPOST banking information system. The FORPOST system has already been operating on the Latvian territory since 1998 and is successfully adjusted to the specifics of the country’s banking activity.
The AS Latvijas Biznesa banka was established in 1992 and is one of the oldest banks in Latvia. In 2011 the bank has been reorganized and as a result it faced new challenges and required a contemporary and highly technological information system.
At choosing appropriate software, not only had AS Latvijas Biznesa banka to consider solving of the current bank’s issues, but also to ensure a full-scale support and development of information technologies of the bank in the long term. Greater attention was paid to information security, management and control of risks, prevention of legalisation of the illegally obtained funds in accordance with the international requirements of EU banking supervision.
