CJSC Forbis will assist Lithuanian commercial banks in implementing changes of the payment system directive
The Forbis Company, vendor of banking information systems, will assist its clients, Lithuanian commercial banks, in implementing the planned changes in the Lithuanian Republic’s payment system directive, meant for providing extensive and accurate information to the bank customers on the offered payment services.
All the Lithuanian clients of CJSC Forbis participate in this large-scale project; the project embraces a large variety of payment operations and their sources: Internet banking, direct debit, payment collection, and other operations.
The project is planned to be completed until November the 1st 2009.
“In the course of the project the system kernel has undergone certain changes: when automatically generated operations are performed, the system registers information on the applied commission payment tariff, the rate of the pair of currencies applied to the amount re-calculation into another currency; when performing conversion operations, the system will register a retail conversion deal and the applied currency rate.
Information on the provided payment services will be provided to the customers in the printed or electronic statements,” the head of the company’s System kernel product group, Doctor of social sciences, Kęstutis Banevičius commented on the nuances of the project.
