Forbis and BIGBANK signed a cooperation agreement
On September the 3rd, 2010 Lithuanian company Forbis and BIGBANK AS signed a set of agreements regarding purchase of BIS FORPOST licenses and implementation, development and support of the system. BIGBANK is a far-reaching bank, operating in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Germany, and Austria.
”We have chosen BIS FORPOST developed by the Forbis Company for it is a flexible system, meeting the requirements of the European Central Bank and also because it will enable us to provide our customers with modern services, which they might expect”, - said Targo Raus, Chairman of the Board of BIGBANK AS.
According to Sarunas Maciulis, Commercial director and negotiator of the Forbis Company, during the negotiations with BIGBANK, its representatives proved to be dynamic, modern specialists, making prompt and due decisions, demonstrating high competence and good knowledge of IT and banking systems. It shows that this bank has true professionals, who are ready to provide high quality services to their customers.
The set of agreements signed with BIGBANK is the first project to be carried out by Forbis in Estonia. It is a part of the Forbis plan of expanding its activities, which includes similar projects that were successfully implemented in Latvia, Belarus and Russia. Now the company is actively strengthening its positions in the banking markets of the former USSR countries. Forbis aim to work up the market of these countries is supported by an EU structural fund program called “New possibilities”.
