Forbis has introduced the newest FORPOST release 4.5.1
Forbis met the year 2010 with introducing a new 4.5.1 release of the FORPOST banking information system to the market. The new release is enhanced with technological novelties and possibilities, which will help the banks to service customers more efficiently and conveniently.

The newest FORPOST release 4.5.1 includes the novelties, embracing complex, large scale projects related to the amendments in the Lithuanian Republic settlement law, the newest European Union and separate Commonwealth of Independent States requirements and specifics. The updated elements are related to great versatility of payment operations and their sources. Electronic securities management and accounting tools have been much improved. Management of the operations with payment cards has been developed (i.e. setting of commissions for card account operations; a possibility of performing important mass actions, for example card contract termination etc.). Modern, universal, money-saving solutions of deposit management and treasury financial instruments management have been introduced. The system has been supplemented with new solutions of electronic management of anti-crisis financial products.
“While implementing new technologies, we purposefully strived not only to achieve the best technical characteristics, but also to make the system more convenient for the users, thus we have modernised the graphic user interface. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that FORPOST 4.5.1 will be provided with the entirely new management dashboard,” emphasised Artur Alechnovich, the chairman of the board and the senior programmer of the Forbis Company.
The first banks in Lithuania to implement the updates of the FORPOST release 4.5.1 were Danske bank, Ūkio bank, and Šiaulių bankas AB. The upgrade work has been started in one of the Russian banks RosEvroBank.
What’s new?
New subsystems:
- DAS – FORPOST dashboard solves such tasks as monitoring of user work quality and data state; console for users and administrators; management information selection; registration and detailed description of the events in the data base (expanded active monitoring).
- CNS2 – customer notification system allows automating all the solutions concerning notification of customers and partners.
Integration solutions:
- Integration with Transmaster RTPS system. ISO8583:93 implemented in RTT.
General technological novelties:
- XMLAPI (new import/export objects);
- FORPOST*PMS (parameterisation of variants of product conditions);
- FORPOST* RISKS (risk management);
- FORPOST*API (mass FORPOST registry caching on the kernel level; support of PGP standard, MSO report of the CSV type, optimisation of the day end procedure);
- FORPOST*GUI (a possibility of using the filters in the forms, WEB interface);
- FORPOST*Internet Banking (a possibility of importing large files with operations, as well as import of FORPOST*Applications Servicing applications to the Internet Bank).
Functional solutions developed and implemented in the BIS FORPOST release 4.5.1 are oriented to the Bank business needs
International payments:
- Implementation of new messages support: MT101, MT940/942, MT202COV.
MIPI implementation:
- Implementation of system modernisation with correspondence to the Lithuanian statutory acts.
New functions and possibilities:
- In FORPOST*Cards Issuing, FORPOST*Off-line Processing, FORPOST*Salary Disbursement, FORPOST*Forex and Money Market;
- In FORPOST* Prevention (AML).
New products:
- Most advantageous payment, allowing to optimise customer payments; creation of the FRF_AML form, designed for viewing and management of the controlled transactions;
- MM credit/deposit with free schedule of repayment; a set of services for partial term deposit amount withdrawal by FIFO method.
